CHALLENGE: Create new, attention-creating campaign and address mechanisms to get the Postbank yellow into the hearts of fans and into social media networks. Research and booking of attractive and high-frequency locations, comprehensive logistics management and development of a moderation guide for on-site implementation.
APPROACH: All cities in which the Postbank club Borussia Mönchengladbach plays during the season have the opportunity to win a brand new football pitch for their city – a campaign that makes footballers’ hearts beat faster. The trained 20-strong team distributes Postbank footballs and stops the clock while all fans try their hand at holding up the ball to win for their city. High visibility for this Postbank campaign is ensured with an extensive social media campaign and branded vehicles.
RESULTS: Successful approval management, strong promotion areas, highly motivated staff, targeted route planning, evaluation and the link to social media networks bring a significant increase in fans on Facebook. This creates synergies between Postbank and soccer.
